Guide to Macros
Hello everyone. I thought I’d do a friendly reminder of what can be classified as a proper macro and what can’t.
Firstly, see a definition of a macro here.
If you do not have suitable software to create a macro, use Roflbot here.
IT’S A MACRO:
- Text overlaid on an image that produces a comical/humorous/funny etc. effect.
- Font style is Impact in white and outlined in black
- The text is either a form of caption OR commenting on the action in the photo in a way that is relevant
IT’S NOT A MACRO:
- Text overlaid on the photo that does not produce a comical effect
- Commenting/captioning the action in a photo in a way that is not funny* or particularly relevant
- Hate/rant/opinion/etc. messages overlaid on an image. Save this for kpopsecrets guys :)
Lately I’ve been getting a lot of submissions which is fantastic and there’s nothing better than seeing people have gone to the effort to create or source a macro for this blog - however, it is still important we stick to what can be classified as a true macro to provide all you awesome followers with what you followed this blog for in the first place.
*I understand that judging whether something is funny or not is subjective, that is why I publish about 90% of submissions. However, with experience of seeing a lot of macros, I attempt to do my best to judge whether you guys will get some LOLs from them :)
Thanks for reading! If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to ask.
